The Tenuta Greppo vineyard, where the Biondi Santi family has been producing its wines for generations, is aging bottles that are up to a century old, and the owners ensure that they are still in excellent shape. The winery has just been visited by La Maddalena Restaurant's head sommelier, Rafal Bajzert. And he repeats like a mantra one phrase. "Brunello from the Biondi-Santi family is unlike any other Brunello I've tasted in my life," Rafal assures. "However it may sound, it is simply different, fuller, deeper, the character is given by the incredible almost smoky and tobacco notes."
The winery's owners claim that the unique qualities are imparted by the Sangiovese clone from which Brunello Biondi Santi is made, the family's greatest secret, carefully protected from the rest of the producers. We won't write any more about the elegance and refined taste of each of the wines from Biondi Santi, because we believe that tasting wines from this Tuscan family is a must for every smaller and larger wine enthusiast. Instead, we guarantee that it is an absolutely unforgettable experience that will remain in your memory for a long time. We vouch for it with our heads.
The closest and perhaps the only opportunity to taste the wines and meet the winery's owners is on October 13 in Maddalena.
We warmly invite you to join us.
