Few culinary traditions—especially one that has recently enjoyed such a wonderful revival—bring us more joy than St. Martin’s Day goose.

This makes us happy for at least two reasons. First, we’ve loved quoting it ourselves here at Maddalena for years; the second reason is purely objective. It’s not just a proverb—it’s an undeniable fact. “The best goose meat is on St. Martin’s Day”!
And we like the changing seasons.
